The games story revolves around Rayman and his buddies rescuing little blue creatures, called teensies, who have been sucked into various paintings and have become trapped. By playing through the levels you rescue them by running, jumping, swinging, punching and stomping your way to completion. As you progress through Rayman Legends you will learn more skills such as wall jumping, wall sliding, gliding, and etc, which will come in handy as the levels become increasingly more difficult. While this sounds similar to other platforming games you may have played, Ubisoft has crafted distinct levels designed to keep you engaged and challenged.

| Child of Light Review - A Fairy Tale Ending? [Dealspwn]

Dealspwn writes: RPG games are usually big-budget epics with the promise (threat?) of at least forty hours running time. Ubisoft's Child of Light is here to change that assumption by providing a low-priced downloadable alternative. Others have failed quite miserably (Hello, Mars: War Logs), but ze Germans made a solid effort with the tough Rainbow Moon. But with Ubisoft providing genre classics in action, shooters and platforming (Assassin's Creed IV, Far Cry 3 and Rayman Legends if you're asking), we can't wait to see how they handle an RPG.

A new 2D Prince of Persia is in development using Rayman Legends' UbiArt Framework engine, according to a report posted by French website Le Portail du Jeu Video.
The site claims to have been told that the game will use "the same techniques of animation [as used] in the last Rayman" and see the Prince's body "divided into several parts (torso, pelvis, leg, shin, foot, forearm, hands, etc..) that can be animated independently of each other.
